1.3.4 <PerformanceDescriptions>

The <PerformanceDescription> is an optional element that defines a set of zero or more descriptions that are applicable to the contained performances. To resolve the descriptions relevant to a single performance, the first defined <PerformanceDescriptions> contained within the <Performance>, or the containing <Schedule> or the containing <Event> is used. If there is no <PerformanceDescriptions> defined or the first one that is defined is empty then there are no descriptions dedicated to the given performance.

Attributes

May Contain

<Description>
optional and repeatable
<DescriptionReference>
optional and repeatable
If the <PerformanceDescriptions> is empty then it explicitly defines no descriptions for the targetted <Performance> elements. This can be useful when the default <PerformanceDescriptions> does define some descriptions, but you want to explicit reject them for a subset of performances within the dataset.

Contained Within

<Event>
optional. If defined then it will provide the descriptions for all the performances that do not have a more specific <PerformanceDescriptions> defined on their containing <Schedule> or on the <Performance> itself.
<Schedule>
optional. If defined then it will provide the descriptions for all the contained performances in the <Schedule> that do not themselves contain a <PerformanceDescriptions>.
<Performance>
optional. If defined then it will provide the descriptions for the given <Performance>
