1.3.1.1 <Venue>

The <Venue> describes the location which the event is going to take place at. This is fundamentally a reference to an IVES Venue ID to definitively define a non-ambiguous location, but this may optionally be extended with further information about the space within the venue that the event is utilising.

Attributes

VID
compulsory. The VID that represents the unique ID of the Venue that is being described. See http://www.ives.info for more information on how to resolve VIDs and how to go about finding an existing VID for a Venue or creating a new one if one has not yet been allocated.
previousVID
optional. If the event was previously going to be held at a different venue and this fact was publically advertised, then the Supplier should include the Venue ID of the previous venue in this element. This will make it clear that the event is the same event that has moved, rather than being a similar but potentially unconnected event in a different location. This will be particularly relevant to individuals that hold tickets for the event at the old venue (although IVES takes no responsibility for whether these tickets will be usable in the new venue or not). This attribute may also be used in conjunction with the rescheduledFrom attribute on <Performance> ([*])
supplierSpecificId
(see [*]).

<Contacts>
